Waterkloof “Circumstance” Cabernet Franc, Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch has long been regarded as a region producing world-class Bordeaux blends.  It's no surprise therefore that Cabernet Franc is capable of reaching it's full potential here.  Classic Cabernet Franc on the nose with taut, fresh blackcurrant and wild plum fruit.  Most pleasing are the trademark pencil lead and refreshing herbaceousness.  A concentrated, fruit-filled wine which opens in the glass, gaining in complexity.  It is concentrated, vital and extremely smart.  Even better the next day... if you can keep your hands off it.
