Cantina Diomede “Canace” Nero di Troia, Puglia
Nero di Troia is a red grape speciality native to Puglia where it produces firm, savoury wines. Deep red in colour with flecks of violet. On the nose there is warm spice, cocoa, coffee, liquorice and ripe berry fruit. Aged for 12 months in large French oak barrels, this wine balances richness with a fresh acidity, velvety tannins and a spicy finish. "Canace" comes from blending the initial syllables of the towns where the wineries are located - Canosa, 480 metres above sea level in the DOC Castel del Monte area in the hills north of Bari, and Acerenza, on the foothills of Vulture in Basilicata. ABV 13.5%
