Kaiken “Ultra” Malbec, Mendoza

Grapes are sourced from old vineyards in three prestigious, high-elevation subregions of Mendoza.  The low yielding vines are grown up to 1,250 metres above sea level in deep gravel and alluvial soils to produce wines of outstanding elegance, structure and power.  Bright ruby in colour, this wine has a fragrant nose of violets and sweet, fresh blueberry.  The ageing process involves 12 months in new French oak, imparting vanilla and clove aromas.  The palate is structured, with smooth tannins and a long liquorice accented finish. ABV 14.5%.  Also available in magnum
