“Uva Non Grata” Gamay, Vin de France
While currently exceptionally fashionable among cork dorks, for centuries Gamay was maligned, mistreated and misunderstood. Outlawed by Philip the Bold in 1395, some vignerons hid Gamay vines among noble Pinot Noir. This wine was made in their honour; a Gamay bottled without appellation and without rules! Bouncy, crunchy, juicy. An irresistible fruit bomb packed with fresh, primary fruit aromas and the delicious. carbonic red berry flavours. Gorgeous Gamay at its honest best.
