Château Laville, Sauternes

A blend of 90% Semillon and 10% Sauvignon Blanc from 35-year-old vines rooted in classic gravel and limestone soils, this French sweet wine from Sauternes is a benchmark example of noble rot winemaking. Rare-breed Landais sheep graze the vineyards, maintaining the ecosystem naturally. Bright golden yellow colour with aromas of fresh citrus, candied fruit, marmalade, and rye bread spice.  The Layered palate is rich with flavours of dried fig, orange blossom, and sweet spices. Mouthwatering acidity balances the sweetness, leading to a long, elegant finish. Crafted by Jean-Christophe Barbe, a renowned noble rot specialist, this Sauternes dessert wine offers richness, complexity, and finesse - a perfect for pairing with blue cheese, foie gras, or fruit-based desserts.
