Bressia Monteagrelo Cabernet Franc, Valle de Uco, Mendoza
Cabernet Franc is a variety which can taste a bit green if not fully ripened. That is not an issue when grown in the sun kissed hills of the Uco Valley, one of the most sort after locations in Mendoza. From acclaimed producer Walter Bressia, this is a superb example of Argentinian Cab Franc. The nose is whistle-clean with superb intensity of black currant, red berries and pencil shavings. It is aged for 12 months in new French oak barriques which add secondary complexity, seasoning the wine with sweet spice while softening the acidity to temper any sharp edges. Concentrated, complex, fresh and long. ABV 14%
