A generous and savoury nose with hints of wood smoke and leather fleshed out by berry fruit, plum and rose characters. Good concentration of spicy dried fruit and wild cherry on the palate, leading to a characteristically firm and structured finish with balancing tangy acidity.  Best enjoyed with hearty Italian meat or tomato based dishes. ABV 14%
